Zinnia Profusion Yellow 1ltr

A vigorous, bushy annual that forms neat, compact mounds smothered in single, daisy-like, bright yellow flowers from early summer right through to the first frosts. Part of the award-winning Profusion Series — a cross between Zinnia angustifolia and Zinnia elegans — it combines strong disease resistance with real heat and drought tolerance, making it one of the most reliable, low-fuss zinnias for a British summer. It flowers non-stop without needing deadheading, and its blooms are a magnet for bees and butterflies.

Reaching around 25–45cm in height with a similar spread, 'Profusion Yellow' does best in full sun, in humus-rich, fertile, well-drained soil, and performs best in an open spot with good air circulation, which helps keep powdery mildew at bay. It's an excellent choice for the front of borders, bedding schemes, or large containers, and makes a long-lasting cut flower — the more you cut, the more it flowers. Water regularly at the base rather than over the foliage, and feed every couple of weeks through summer to keep the display at its best. As a half-hardy annual, it won't survive frost, so it's typically planted out after the last frost date and treated as a single-season display.

Each plant is hand-selected before dispatch to ensure it reaches you in the best possible condition.
