Water Lily Nymphaea Vesuve 3L

A stunning and reliable water lily, prized for its large, fragrant, star-shaped flowers in a brilliant glowing red, with lighter petal edges and a bold yellow centre. It's a prolific bloomer with an especially long flowering season, from June through to September, with fragrance most noticeable on newly opened blooms. The dark green foliage forms an attractive, nearly round canopy of floating leaves.

Ideal for medium to large ponds, 'Vesuve' spreads to around 90-120cm and should be planted in still water at a depth of 40-90cm, in full sun. Its floating pads offer valuable shelter for frogs, toads and newts, while the flowers are a magnet for bees and other pollinators.
