Taylors Bulbs Tulip 'Happy Generation' (7)

A striking Rembrandt-style Triumph tulip, 'Happy Generation' bears crisp ivory-white blooms dramatically flamed with rich crimson-red and touches of yellow at the base — a bold, festive combination that only deepens in colour as the flowers mature. Reaching around 40-45cm on sturdy, weather-resistant stems, it's a real standout in borders, containers and cut flower displays alike.

Plant the bulbs in autumn at a depth of 10-15cm in fertile, well-drained soil, in a sunny position with shelter from strong winds and excess winter wet. 'Happy Generation' flowers in mid-to-late spring and is a reliable, long-lasting performer, with blooms that hold their colour for several weeks. As with all tulips, the bulbs are harmful if eaten and can cause skin allergies, so gloves are worth wearing when handling.

Supplied as a pack of 7 top-quality bulbs. Each bulb is hand-selected before dispatch. Available from Pengelly Garden Centre.
