Part of the premium Select from Taylors range, 'Double Surprise' brings an opulent, multi-layered display to the spring garden. Soft violet-pink and lilac outer petals unfurl to reveal a crisp, snowy-white ruffled centre, giving each peony-style double bloom a striking two-tone effect that's as luxurious up close as it is from a distance.

These fully double blooms create a dense, eye-catching focal point wherever they're planted, whether massed in a border, worked into a cottage-style planting scheme, or grown in patio containers for a real spring statement. Plant bulbs in autumn, around 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart, in full sun and free-draining soil for the best flowering display in mid to late spring. Fully hardy, they need no protection over winter once planted.
