Taylors Bulbs Narcissus 'Pastel Gem' (7)

'Pastel Gem' offers a softer take on the classic daffodil, pairing light, creamy-yellow petals with a large salmon-pink cup edged in a deeper coral tone. It's a large-cupped variety with a genuinely distinctive colour combination, bringing a warmer, more subtle palette to the spring border than the usual bright yellow trumpets.

Flowering in March and April on stems reaching around 35cm, it suits borders, beds and containers, and pairs particularly well with blue muscari or white hyacinths for a soft, harmonious spring display. Plant the bulbs in early autumn around 12cm deep in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade; the bulbs and sap can irritate skin, so gloves are worth wearing at planting time. After flowering, feed with a balanced fertiliser, deadhead the faded blooms, and leave the foliage to die back naturally to build the bulb for next year.
