A dainty Jonquilla daffodil with real charm, Narcissus 'Golden Echo' bears clusters of two to three sweetly fragrant blooms per stem — crisp white petals surrounding a long, bright golden-yellow trumpet, with a soft yellow halo echoing at the base of each petal. Clump-forming and reaching around 30cm high, it's perfect for the front of a border, patio pots, or naturalising in drifts for a cheerful, scented display.
Plant the bulbs in autumn at one and a half to two times their own depth, in moderately fertile, well-drained soil that stays reliably moist through the growing season. 'Golden Echo' flowers in mid-spring and multiplies happily over time, making it a lovely long-term addition to the garden. As with all narcissi, the bulbs are harmful if eaten and can irritate skin, so gloves are recommended when planting and deadhead as flowers fade to keep them looking their best.
Supplied as a pack of 6 top-quality bulbs. Each bulb is hand-selected before dispatch. Available from Pengelly Garden Centre.
