Spathiphyllum 'Vivaldi' (Peace Lily)

A timeless favourite, Spathiphyllum 'Vivaldi' brings effortless elegance to any room with its lush, glossy dark green foliage and striking white flower spathes, notable for being especially large on this particular cultivar. Long-flowering by nature, each bloom can last anywhere from four to ten weeks before a short rest period, after which fresh buds follow — giving months of interest from a single, low-fuss plant.

One of the easiest flowering houseplants to keep happy, 'Vivaldi' tolerates lower light levels better than most, though it flowers most freely in bright, indirect light, making it equally suited to a shaded corner or a well-lit desk. Keep the compost lightly and consistently moist, watering once the top few centimetres feel dry, and mist occasionally to boost humidity — the leaves will droop dramatically when thirsty, offering a helpful, unmissable watering reminder. Feed monthly through spring and summer, and repot every couple of years to refresh the compost. This compact cultivar typically reaches around 60–75cm in height.
