Salvia greggii 'Amethyst Lips' 3L

A beautiful bicoloured salvia, closely related to the ever-popular 'Hot Lips', producing masses of two-tone flowers in rich amethyst-purple and white throughout the summer and into autumn. Set against small, aromatic, dark green foliage, the vivid blooms create a striking contrast and are a real magnet for bees and other pollinators. Compact and bushy in habit, it's a superb choice for adding long-lasting colour and interest to sunny borders.

Grow in full sun in moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Ideal for mixed borders, cottage gardens, or containers, and works particularly well planted alongside other Mediterranean-style perennials. Trim back in spring to encourage bushy new growth and a strong flush of flowers, and provide winter protection or a sheltered position in colder areas.
