Rudbeckia fulgida Little Goldstar 3L

A compact, free-flowering form of Black-Eyed Susan, 'Little Goldstar' produces an abundance of bright golden-yellow daisy flowers with dark chocolate-brown centres from midsummer through to autumn. Its neat, dense habit makes it a fantastic dwarf alternative to larger rudbeckias, delivering the same bold, sunny colour without needing as much space. The sturdy stems and compact growth mean it holds itself well without staking, and the flowers are excellent for attracting bees and butterflies.

Grow in full sun to light shade in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Perfect for the front of borders, gravel gardens, or containers, and particularly effective planted in bold drifts. Flowers are long-lasting and also make lovely cut flowers for the home. Cut back in late winter or early spring, leaving seed heads over winter to provide interest and food for birds.
