Rosa 'My Valentine'

An enchanting Hybrid Tea rose designed to captivate gardeners and rose lovers alike, 'My Valentine' makes a splendid gift for any romantic occasion, with high-centred, medium red blooms of classic pointed, ovoid form. The double flowers carry a subtle yet inviting fragrance and appear in generous flushes from June right through to autumn, set beautifully against dark green, semi-glossy foliage.

Bushy, compact and well-branched, this variety produces a robust, upright display and makes an excellent choice for cutting, filling a vase with its lightly fragrant red blooms. It thrives in a sunny position, in fertile, humus-rich soil that's moist but well-drained. A light trim in autumn followed by a proper prune in spring will keep growth strong, with feeding recommended in late winter or early spring and again in early summer for the best flowering.

Reaching approximately 90cm (3ft) in height with a spread of around 60cm (2ft), 'My Valentine' is ideally suited to borders, beds large or small, and mixed plantings among perennials.
