Rosa 'Carmen Wath'

An upright, bushy shrub rose, 'Carmen Würth' produces generous clusters of double to semi-double flowers in a striking deep pink to magenta, carrying a strongly fragrant perfume that fills the garden air from summer right through into autumn. The blooms are set against glossy, dark green foliage divided into neatly toothed leaflets, giving the whole plant a healthy, well-furnished appearance from top to bottom.

A reliable and vigorous floribunda, 'Carmen Würth' performs best in a sunny position, in fertile soil that is moist but free-draining. Water deeply and regularly, avoiding overhead watering, and ensure good air circulation around the plant to help keep it healthy and disease-free. A light trim in autumn followed by a proper prune in spring will encourage strong new growth and a full display of flowers, with feeding recommended at pruning time and again after the first flush of blooms.

This variety forms a well-branched, bushy shrub, making it an excellent choice for beds and borders where its rich colour and heady fragrance can be enjoyed throughout the flowering season.
