Rhododrendron 'XXL Red Devil' 5ltr pot

Rhododendron 'XXL Red Devil' (5L Pot)

Make a bold statement in the garden with Rhododendron 'XXL Red Devil', a striking modern hybrid bred for maximum impact. Large, vibrant deep red flowers with dark, contrasting black hearts appear from March to May, with individual blooms reaching up to 8cm across — a dramatic show that few other rhododendrons can match. This low-maintenance evergreen holds its glossy foliage year-round, giving structure and interest to shady borders long after the flowers have faded.

'XXL Red Devil' thrives in partial shade and acidic soil, and does equally well in containers filled with ericaceous compost — making it a superb choice for patios as well as borders. Like all rhododendrons, its leaves and flowers are harmful if eaten, so it's best sited away from areas where pets or children might be tempted to nibble.

Mature size: approximately 2m (6.5ft) in height with a 1.5m (5ft) spread.

Each plant is hand-selected before dispatch.
