Prunus Spring Snow — 12L Container

Prunus 'Spring Snow' is a compact Japanese cherry, selected in Hokkaido and introduced to the UK in 2000. In April, clusters of blush-white double flowers dust the bare branches like snow. Bronze-tinted young leaves turn orange and red in autumn. Vase-shaped when young, it holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit and is ideal for small gardens.

It grows to around 2.5m x 2.5m after 10 years. Plant in full sun in well-drained soil; it tolerates most soils, including chalk and clay. Little pruning is needed, but any that is required should be done in summer, when the risk of silver leaf is lowest.
