Picrasma quassioides — 12L Container

Picrasma quassioides, the Japanese quassia, is an unusual and elegant small tree grown for its outstanding autumn colour. The glossy pinnate leaves turn brilliant shades of yellow, orange and scarlet before they fall. Small green flowers in May are followed by red, pea-sized berries. Slender and graceful, it is a fine choice for a changing climate.

It grows to around 4m x 2.5m after 10 years. Plant in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained, neutral to acid soil.
