Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' – commonly known as Dwarf Fountain Grass – is a compact, clump-forming ornamental grass valued for its neat mound of gracefully arching foliage and its striking bottle-brush flower spikes. Bright green through summer, the fine leaves turn golden-yellow in autumn before fading to warm beige, providing structure and interest well into winter. From mid to late summer, soft, pinkish-white flower spikes arch outward above the foliage, particularly dramatic when backlit by low sun.
