Paeonia Lactiflora 'Eventide' 11cm

An elegant single-flowered peony, 'Eventide' is a cross between Paeonia lactiflora and Paeonia peregrina, producing simple, bowl-shaped pink blooms with a natural, understated charm. The fragrant flowers are held atop attractive red-mottled stems, above dark green, lance-shaped foliage — a lovely choice for those who prefer the more relaxed look of single-flowered peonies over the classic double forms.

Blooming from late spring into midsummer, this variety is reliable and long-lived once established, and its simple form makes it a graceful addition to a cottage garden or mixed border. As with many single peonies, the flower heads can be on the heavier side, so a little support may be welcome in exposed spots.
