Paeonia ITOH 'Old Rose Dandy' 5ltr

A stunning Itoh (intersectional) paeonia, prized for its semi-double blooms in old-fashioned rose tones with a striking raspberry-red flare at the centre, fading to a softer hue as the flowers mature. Lightly fragrant and beautifully formed, the blooms are held above a compact, rounded bush of glossy, dark green foliage that stays attractive all season.

As an Itoh hybrid — a cross between herbaceous and tree peonies — 'Old Rose Dandy' combines the best of both: strong, sturdy stems that won't flop, the elegant flower form of a tree peony, and reliable die-back-to-the-ground hardiness for easy autumn tidying. A vigorous, free-flowering grower, it makes an excellent border perennial and produces flowers superb for cutting.

Available at Pengelly Garden Centre, supplied as an established British-grown plant in a 5-litre pot.
