Paeonia 'Festiva Maxima' 3L

A true garden icon and one of the most famous peonies of all, 'Festiva Maxima' has been treasured since its introduction in 1851. It produces large, fully double, pure white blooms with a mass of frilly petals, delicately flecked with crimson at the centre — all set against strong stems and handsome dark green foliage that flushes burgundy in spring and yellow in autumn.

An early-season bloomer, it kicks off the peony display beautifully and pairs well with later-flowering varieties to extend colour through the season. Wonderfully fragrant and reliable even in poor weather, it makes a superb, long-lasting cut flower. Low-maintenance and long-lived, this heirloom variety will reward you with decades of spring colour.
