Molinia caerulea 'Moorhexe' – commonly known as Purple Moor Grass – is a compact, deciduous ornamental grass forming a dense, upright clump of fine, narrow foliage. In late summer, slender purplish flower heads rise above the leaves, creating a delicate, airy effect that dances in the breeze. As the season progresses, the foliage turns attractive shades of pale brown and orange, offering continued interest into winter.

Reaching a height and spread of around 60cm, this neat, stiffly upright grass is well suited to windy or coastal positions, and works beautifully in prairie-style planting, mixed borders, or as a striking architectural accent.
