Malus Rosehip — 12L Container

Malus 'Rosehip' is named for its large, round, bright red fruits, whose prominent calyces give them the look of oversized rosehips. The fruits have red flesh, persist well on the tree and make a lovely amber jelly. Single white blossom opens in April, and the leaves colour in autumn.

It grows to around 4m x 3m after 10 years. Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil; clay is tolerated. It is self-fertile and an excellent pollinator for nearby apple trees, and needs very little pruning beyond removing any damaged growth in late winter.
