Magnolia gra Ferruginea (White) — 12L Container

Magnolia grandiflora 'Ferruginea' is a handsome evergreen magnolia with deep glossy green leaves backed with a rich rusty-red felt, which gives the tree its name. In late summer it bears large, creamy white, goblet-shaped flowers with a lovely citrus scent, much visited by bees. Its erect, compact habit makes it one of the neater grandiflora forms.

It reaches around 4m x 3m after 10 years. Plant in full sun or light shade in moist, well-drained, ideally slightly acidic soil, in a sheltered spot or against a warm wall. Any pruning is best done after flowering or in late summer.
