Ragged Robin (Lychnis flos-cuculi)

A hardy British native perennial with a slender, upright to spreading habit, growing to around 75cm. Loose clusters of star-shaped, rose-pink flowers appear from late spring into summer, each petal deeply cut into four narrow segments to give the plant its distinctive "ragged" look.

Ragged robin thrives in moist to boggy soil in full sun or partial shade, making it perfect for damp borders, wet meadows, or planting around pond margins. It's a valuable nectar source for bees, butterflies and other pollinators, and holds the RHS Plants for Pollinators award.
