A striking and unusual Shasta daisy, with large semi-double to double blooms that open a bright buttery yellow before gradually fading through soft pale yellow to creamy white as they mature — giving a lovely multicoloured effect across the plant as flowers at different stages open together. Flowering from early to late summer, it forms a neat mound of narrow, leathery, deep green leaves and is a magnet for bees, butterflies and hoverflies.

Grow in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade; taller stems may benefit from some support in exposed spots. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering, and cut back once blooming finishes to keep the plant tidy. Divide congested clumps every few years in early spring or late summer to maintain vigour. Easy-going and largely trouble-free, though it dislikes sitting in waterlogged soil over winter.

Not known to cause harm to pets or people if ingested.

Forms a compact mound reaching around 45-60cm in height and spread. Hand-selected here at Pengelly for strong form and healthy growth.
