A cheerful, easy-going shrub grown for its double, pompom-like golden-yellow flowers that smother the slender green stems from mid-spring into early summer. Bright green, toothed foliage provides a fresh backdrop to the blooms, while the arching, cane-like stems bring gentle movement and structure to a border even once flowering has finished. A vigorous, suckering shrub that's well suited to informal planting, woodland edges, or as an underplanting beneath larger trees, and tolerates a wide range of conditions with minimal fuss.
Position: Partial shade to full sun. Adaptable to most well-drained soils.
Height & spread: Reaches approximately 1.5–2m in height and spread at maturity.
Care: Prune immediately after flowering, removing a proportion of older stems at the base to encourage fresh growth and maintain a good shape. Water well while establishing; once settled, reasonably drought-tolerant. Can sucker and spread over time, so allow it room or remove unwanted suckers as needed.
Each Pleniflora is hand-selected to ensure a strong, healthy plant ready to establish quickly in its new home.
