Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Lime' (Little Lime Hydrangea)

A compact, rounded panicle hydrangea bred as a smaller-growing alternative to the popular 'Limelight'. From midsummer through to early autumn, large conical flowerheads open a fresh lime-green, gradually fading through creamy white before flushing a soft pink as the season progresses — one of the longest-lasting displays of any hydrangea. Dark green, pointed foliage turns a warm yellow in autumn, adding a further season of interest.

A neat, upright shrub reaching around 1 to 1.5 metres in height and spread, making it a good fit for smaller gardens, mixed borders, or large containers where it copes well even in cooler, north-facing spots. Grow in any moist but well-drained soil, in partial shade or full sun provided moisture is reliable, improving chalky soils with organic matter beforehand.
