Hydrangea macrophylla 'Royalty Collection' Jip Pink 3.5ltr

A compact, eye-catching mophead hydrangea from the Royalty Collection, 'Jip Pink' forms a neat, bushy shrub with broadly oval, toothed green leaves and large, dome-shaped clusters of showy pink blooms through summer. Its colour intensity can shift depending on soil pH — leaning towards vibrant, rich pink in more alkaline conditions. Compact and well-branched, it's an excellent choice for patio containers as well as borders and beds.

Reaching around 1m in height and spread, it suits smaller gardens and pots equally well. Grow in full sun to partial shade, sheltered from cold, drying winds that can damage emerging flower buds, in rich, fertile, moist soil improved with well-rotted manure or garden compost. Water regularly, especially during hot spells, keeping water at the base rather than on the blooms. Leave the faded flower heads in place over winter to protect the new buds from frost, then prune after flowering to maintain shape and size.
