Hydrangea macrophylla 'Royalty Collection' Fire Wings 3.5ltr

A striking mophead hydrangea from the popular Royalty Collection, 'Fire Wings' bears large, vibrant flowerheads in a rich, fiery red, held above serrated-edged green foliage. Bred for its compact, well-branched habit and excellent repeat-flowering ability, it produces its bold blooms from late June or July right through to October, giving one of the longest flowering displays of any mophead hydrangea. It's also notably sun and rain resistant, keeping its colour and form well through the season.

Reaching around 100cm–1.2m in height and spread, it's a versatile choice for borders, containers, or as a standout specimen plant. Grow in partial shade — ideally morning sun with afternoon shade, or dappled light throughout the day — as strong, direct sun can scorch the foliage and reduce flowering. Plant in well-draining, organically rich soil in a sheltered spot with good air circulation. Water regularly, as hydrangeas dislike drying out, and cut back to a strong pair of buds in early spring once the frosts have passed, leaving the old flower heads in place over winter to help protect the plant.
