Hyacinth Bulbs Prepared 17/18 Each

For fragrant flowers indoors well ahead of the outdoor season, these Prepared Hyacinth Bulbs are specially heat-treated to fool them into thinking winter has already passed. Pot them up in early autumn and, with the right cool, dark chilling period, you can be enjoying dense, richly scented spikes of colour indoors as early as Christmas.

Supplied at a generous 17/18cm bulb size — larger bulbs mean stronger stems and a fuller flower spike — these are top-quality bulbs ready for forcing in bowls of compost, bulb fibre, or in a dedicated hyacinth vase over water.

To force: pot with the nose just above the compost surface, then keep somewhere cool and dark (around 9°C) for 10–12 weeks until a 2–3" sprout has developed, before moving into a warmer, brighter spot to bring into flower. Once planted, bulbs and sap can irritate skin, so gloves are recommended when handling.
