A low-spreading evergreen shrub with dark green leaves, bearing rose-pink flowers marked with red near the centre and a yellow eye, produced in flushes through spring and summer. Like other rock roses, each individual bloom is fleeting, but the sheer number produced keeps the display going for weeks, making it a reliable, cheerful choice for the front of a border or a sunny rockery.
Reaching around 10–50cm in height and spread, it does best in full sun and fertile, neutral to alkaline soil that's moist but well-drained — happy in chalk, clay, loam or sand. Prune annually straight after flowering to keep growth compact; it can become leggy if left unchecked, and won't reliably regenerate from old, woody stems, so little-and-often is better than a hard cutback. Once established, it's drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, and generally untroubled by pests or disease.
Each plant is hand-selected before dispatch to ensure it reaches you in the best possible condition.
