Hebe All Blooms brings a long run of cheerful colour to patios, borders and window boxes. This compact evergreen shrub forms a neat, naturally rounded mound of glossy green leaves, and from summer into autumn it’s covered in short spikes of flowers in blue, pink and white. The blooms are a reliable late-season nectar source for bees and butterflies. Supplied as mixed colours, so each plant brings its own shade.

All Blooms stays tidy without regular trimming, which makes it ideal for containers, the front of a border, rockeries or a row of low informal edging. Plant in full sun or light shade in moist but well-drained soil, in a spot sheltered from cold, drying winds. Water regularly until established, after which it tolerates dry spells well. Like many compact hebes, it handles coastal conditions happily. It is only half hardy, so in colder areas plant it against a sunny wall, cover it with horticultural fleece during hard frosts, or grow it in a pot you can move to shelter for winter. Pruning is rarely needed. Snip off faded flower spikes and any frost-damaged tips in spring, but avoid cutting into old, bare wood.
