A compact, bushy evergreen shrub with glossy green foliage, bringing structure and colour to the garden all year round. From July through to the first frosts, it's covered in spikes of purple-pink flowers, making it a reliable choice for borders, patio pots, or coastal planting. Reaching a compact 1m x 1m at maturity, it's fully hardy and copes well with UK winters, thriving in full sun or partial shade.

Planting & care: Plant in moist, well-drained soil, watering regularly through the first growing season to help it establish. Once settled, it's low maintenance — simply remove dead or damaged stems in early spring to encourage fresh growth, and deadhead through summer to keep flowers coming. Mulch annually to retain moisture and feed nutrients back into the soil. In harsher winters, a fleece cover will help protect it from frost.
