Unlike standard multi-purpose composts, its open structure allows excess water to drain away quickly, helping to prevent the root rot and rotting stems that are the most common cause of failure with these plants.

Blended from a carefully balanced mix of loam, sand, and grit, this compost strikes the right balance between moisture retention for establishment and the sharp drainage that cacti, succulents, and other drought-tolerant plants rely on. A light starter feed supports healthy early growth without encouraging the soft, leggy growth that can result from overly rich composts.
