Bring a burst of late-season colour to your garden with Erica gracilis 'Beauty Queens', a compact, bushy heather prized for its dense spikes of small, urn-shaped flowers in a vibrant mix of pinks, magentas and whites. Flowering from autumn into early winter, this Cape heath is a reliable performer just when many other plants are fading, offering weeks of colour in beds, borders, pots and window boxes.
With fine, needle-like evergreen foliage, 'Beauty Queens' provides year-round structure and a soft, textured backdrop even when not in flower. It typically reaches 20–30cm in height and spread, making it ideal for edging, container displays, or grouping in drifts for maximum impact.
Best grown in a sheltered, sunny position with well-drained, ericaceous (acidic) soil, this heather is perfect for pots of lime-free compost if your garden soil is unsuitable. Water regularly and protect from hard frosts, as this variety is best treated as an autumn/winter bedding plant in most UK gardens rather than a fully hardy perennial.
Hand-selected for strong colour and healthy, compact growth.
