Empathy Mini Meadow Flower Seed 3m2

Turn a patch of bare soil into a thriving pollinator haven with this easy-sow wildflower mix from Empathy. Covering an area of 3m², the pack combines a blend of UK native wildflower seeds with a soil conditioner and rootgrow mycorrhizal fungi, giving young plants the best possible start and helping them establish quickly with minimal fuss. The mix includes favourites such as cornflower, poppies, oxeye daisies and corn marigolds, all selected from the RHS Plants for Pollinators list to ensure a rich, long-lasting source of nectar and pollen for bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects.

This is a lovely low-maintenance option for anyone wanting to introduce a touch of wild charm to a border, an awkward corner, or even a whole lawn conversion — and it's a great way to get children interested in gardening and biodiversity too.

To sow, clear the area of weeds, debris and large stones, then rake to create a rough, level surface. Scatter the seed evenly across the prepared ground and lightly rake over to cover. Water well and keep the soil moist while germination takes place. Once established, a mini meadow needs very little aftercare beyond an annual cut back in autumn.

Selected by us for gardeners who want to do a little more for pollinators — hand-picked by the Pengelly team.
