A much-loved, vigorous English shrub rose bred by David Austin and introduced in 2006, named after an 8th-century limestone sculptured panel discovered in Lichfield Cathedral depicting the Archangel Gabriel. Pale peachy-pink buds gradually open into neatly cupped cream rosettes, each with a perfect ring of waxy outer petals enclosing numerous smaller ones, before the petals turn back to form a large, domed flower up to 5" across with as many as 110 petals. Carries a light, musky clove fragrance. Nearly thornless, with medium, semi-glossy, dark green foliage, forming a rounded, bushy shrub with elegantly nodding blooms. A reliable repeat bloomer, flowering in flushes from late spring through to autumn, and notably tolerant of shade and a range of growing conditions. Holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Reaches around 140cm in both height and spread.

Each rose is hand-selected to reach you in the best possible condition.
