Daphne x transatlantica 'Eternal Fragrance' 2L

A truly exceptional daphne, 'Eternal Fragrance' lives up to its name with an astonishingly long flowering season, producing sweetly scented white flowers flushed pink from spring right through to autumn. This semi-evergreen shrub retains much of its dark, glossy foliage year-round in milder areas, forming a neat, tidy cushion shape that works beautifully in borders, containers, or planted near a doorway where the fragrance can be fully enjoyed. An RHS Award of Garden Merit winner, it has overcome many of the traditional challenges associated with growing daphnes.

Reaching around 60–90cm in height with a spread of up to 1m, it's a compact, easy-going choice for smaller gardens. Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade, in a sheltered position away from harsh winds. As with other daphnes, it dislikes root disturbance, so choose its final planting position carefully and avoid moving it once established.
