Daphne odora x bholua 'Perfume Princess' 2ltr

An award-winning hybrid bringing together the best of two celebrated daphnes, 'Perfume Princess' is an upright, bushy evergreen to semi-evergreen shrub with thick, glossy dark green leaves. Large clusters of highly perfumed pale pink flowers appear along the stems from January until March, filling the garden with an intense, sweet fragrance right through the depths of winter and into early spring. Its neat, structured habit makes it a wonderful specimen plant for year-round interest.

Growing to around 1–1.5m in height with a spread of 0.5–1m, it's well suited to borders, woodland-edge planting, or a large container near a doorway or path where the scent can be fully enjoyed. Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in a sheltered position in full sun or partial shade, as it isn't reliably hardy in exposed, windy sites. This variety resents transplanting, so choose its final position carefully when planting out.
