Cordyline australis 'Red Star' 14cm pot

A striking architectural evergreen with arching, sword-like bronze-red leaves that hold their colour year-round. Compact when young, 'Red Star' develops into an eye-catching palm-like specimen over time, eventually producing fragrant ivory-white flowers in summer. Ideal for adding height and dramatic colour to borders, patios, or large containers.

Size: Reaches 3–6m in height with a spread of up to 2–3m at full maturity, though it grows slowly and stays compact for many years, making it well suited to pots.

Growing conditions: Thrives in full sun to light shade, in a sheltered spot away from cold winds. Prefers moist, fertile, well-drained soil but tolerates a wide range of conditions. Hardy down to around -10°C once established, though young or containerised plants benefit from winter protection.
