Narcissus 'Fortune' — 2Kg Net

A vigorous and long-standing favourite, Narcissus 'Fortune' is a large-cupped daffodil producing bold, brilliant yellow blooms up to 11cm across, each with a relatively short, funnel-shaped corona in a rich, deep orange. Flowering in early spring, its strong colour contrast and generous size make it a real standout in borders, naturalised drifts or cut flower displays.

Reaching 50cm or more in height, this variety is best planted in autumn at one and a half times the depth of the bulb — slightly deeper in light soils or when naturalising in grass — in well-drained soil that stays moist through spring. It thrives in full sun or light dappled shade and tolerates exposed as well as sheltered spots. Deadhead as flowers fade and allow the foliage to die back naturally to build strong bulbs for the following year.
