Muscari latifolium 30 bulbs

A more sophisticated take on the classic grape hyacinth, Muscari latifolium is instantly recognisable by its striking bicolour flower spikes — deep violet-blue florets below, topped with a paler, sky-blue crown of sterile flowers. Unlike most Muscari, it produces just a single broad, strap-like leaf per bulb, giving it a neater, less untidy habit that suits both formal and informal planting schemes. Flowering in mid-spring, it looks superb massed in drifts, threaded through borders, or paired with later-flowering tulips.

Reaching around 15-40cm in height, this variety is best planted in early autumn, 8-10cm deep, in well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. It's fully hardy and undemanding once established, gradually building into generous clumps over the years without becoming as invasive as some of its more vigorous grape hyacinth relatives.
