Levington Sulphate of Ammonia is a fast-acting nitrogen supplement designed to encourage strong, healthy, leafy growth throughout the garden. With a high nitrogen content (NPK 21-0-0), it delivers a quick and concentrated boost that plants can take up rapidly, making it especially effective for correcting pale, yellowing foliage caused by nitrogen deficiency and for reviving tired or struggling plants.

This versatile granular feed is ideal for use around leafy vegetables such as cabbages, lettuce, and spinach, as well as shrubs, trees, hedges, and lawns, helping to promote vibrant green colour and vigorous foliage development. It's a useful addition when preparing new beds, feeding young plants as they establish, or giving established plants a boost during the growing season.

Simple to apply, the granules can be sprinkled evenly over the soil at a rate of 35g per square metre and gently worked in with a hand fork or hoe, taking care not to disturb the roots, before watering in thoroughly. As sulphate of ammonia supplies nitrogen only, it works well alongside a phosphorus and potassium feed, such as sulphate of potash or superphosphate, to provide more balanced, all-round nutrition. Best used during spring and summer, when plants are in active growth and able to make the most of the extra nitrogen boost.
