Iris reticulata 'Blue Note' 10 bulbs

A striking reticulata iris with deep purple-blue flowers, each fall marked with a bold white and purple-black pattern, creating real depth and contrast against the compact, erect grey-green foliage. Flowering from late winter into early spring, 'Blue Note' brings rich colour to the garden at a time when very little else is out, and its neat, upright habit makes it equally at home in borders, gravel gardens or containers.

Reaching around 10-15cm in height, this variety is best planted in early autumn in well-drained soil in full sun. It suits rock gardens, raised beds and pots particularly well, where the free-draining conditions it needs are easiest to provide. As with other reticulata irises, it may take a couple of seasons to reach its full flowering potential, so it's worth being patient in year one.
