Allium amplectens 'Graceful Beauty' 8 bulbs

A dainty and elegant ornamental onion, Allium amplectens 'Graceful Beauty' produces neat, globe-shaped flowerheads up to 7cm across, made up of starry white flowers with contrasting lavender stamens and purple anthers. Flowering above narrow, strap-shaped foliage in late spring, its softer, more refined colouring makes it a lovely choice for the front of borders, gravel gardens or containers, and it's a magnet for bees and other pollinators.

Reaching a compact 10-50cm in height and spread, this variety is best planted in autumn in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Add grit if planting in heavier clay soils to improve drainage. Fully hardy and easy to grow, it's happy left undisturbed to slowly increase, and the dried seedheads are attractive enough to leave standing for extra interest once flowering is over.
