Citrus Lemon Meyers 3ltr

A compact and remarkably productive citrus, the Meyer Lemon is prized for its sweeter, less acidic fruit than traditional lemons, with a distinctive thin, smooth skin and a fragrant, almost floral flavour. Glossy, dark green evergreen foliage provides year-round interest, complemented by beautifully scented white flowers with a delicate purple blush that appear intermittently throughout the year, often alongside ripening fruit. A wonderfully versatile variety, equally happy fruiting prolifically in a container as in a sheltered border.

Grow in full sun in a sheltered, frost-free position, or in a container that can be moved under cover over winter as this variety is not fully hardy. Use a free-draining, ericaceous or citrus-specific compost, and feed regularly during the growing season with a specialist citrus fertiliser. Water freely in summer, allowing the compost to dry slightly between waterings, and reduce watering in winter.
