Cercis canadensis 'Ruby Falls' — 12L Pot

A compact weeping redbud with real drama, 'Ruby Falls' produces heart-shaped leaves that emerge a deep maroon-red before maturing to a rich, dark purple through summer — colour that holds far longer than most purple-leaved trees. Before the foliage appears, deep lavender-pink flowers cluster along the bare, cascading branches, and the fountain-like weeping habit gives real presence even in winter, when the bare stems form their own architectural feature. Holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit and ideal as a specimen or focal point where space is limited.

Best in full sun, in fertile, well-drained soil — it isn't fussy about soil type, coping with chalk, clay, loam and sand. Compact by nature, reaching just 1.5–2.5m in both height and spread over 10–20 years, it's a good choice for smaller gardens, courtyards, or container growing where a full-sized tree simply won't fit.
