Carex oshimensis 'Eversheen' 2ltr

Carex 'Eversheen' is a compact evergreen sedge with glossy, bright foliage. Its slender, arching leaves have lime-yellow centres edged in deep green, and they catch the light as they move in the breeze. The plant forms a dense, tufted mound that holds its colour all year. Part of the EverColor series, it is a neat, well-behaved choice for brightening shady borders, edging paths and beds, or adding year-round interest to pots and winter containers.

'Eversheen' grows to around 40cm in height and spread, reaching full size over two to five years. It does well in sun or partial shade and grows in most soils, provided they are moist but well-drained. The lime tones look particularly good against dark-leaved plants such as ajuga, black mondo grass and deep purple heucheras, or among spring bulbs, where its foliage hides fading bulb leaves.

Care is minimal. Comb out any tired or brown leaves with your fingers in spring instead of cutting the plant back, and water container plants during dry spells. Established clumps can be lifted and divided in spring.

Supplied in a 2 litre pot, ready to plant out. Each plant is hand-selected before dispatch.
