A newer sedge variety patented from Carex oshimensis, Carex 'Moon Falls' forms compact, evergreen mounds of fine, arching foliage, with slender leaves showing creamy-white centres edged in deep green, creating an elegant, waterfall-like cascading effect that gives the plant its name. Its vigorous but tidy habit brings a polished, contemporary look to planting schemes with minimal fuss.

A small-growing, clump-forming variety, 'Moon Falls' typically reaches around 30cm in height and spread, making it well suited to edging, ground cover, mixed borders, or containers and hanging baskets, where its cascading form can be shown off to full effect. It's adaptable and low-maintenance, thriving in sun, semi-shade, or shade, though it's happiest in light shade with consistently moist, well-drained soil. No regular pruning is required beyond tidying any tatty foliage in spring.
