A compact, aromatic herbaceous perennial forming a neat, ball-shaped clump of bright green, aniseed-scented foliage. From midsummer through to early autumn, it's covered in dense spikes of hot pink flowers with contrasting magenta calyxes, which keep the plant looking colourful even after the blooms themselves have faded. Growing to around 45–60cm in height and spread, its tidy, rounded habit suits smaller gardens, borders, and containers alike, and it's a firm favourite with bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds where present.
Planting & care: Plant in full sun in well-drained soil, ideally on the leaner side — this variety is happiest in dry conditions once established and dislikes winter wet. Little maintenance is needed: removing spent flowers after the first flush can encourage a second round of blooms, and cutting back old growth in spring keeps the clump neat. Fully hardy and easy to grow, it's a low-fuss choice for long-lasting colour.
Each plant is hand-selected to ensure it arrives ready to thrive in your garden.
