Acer cappadocicum 'Aureum' 12L pot

Acer cappadocicum 'Aureum' (Golden Cappadocian Maple) – 12L Pot

A striking foliage tree for larger gardens, Acer cappadocicum 'Aureum' opens each spring with broad, five-lobed leaves in vivid golden-yellow, mellowing to fresh green through summer before returning to gold again in autumn. Small yellow flowers appear alongside the emerging foliage, adding a further soft flush of colour to this handsome, broad-crowned tree.

Fully hardy and adaptable, it thrives in full sun or partial shade and tolerates a wide range of soils, including chalk and clay, provided drainage is reasonable. It's a substantial specimen tree in the long term, ultimately exceeding 12 metres in height with a spread of over 8 metres, so it's best suited to gardens with room for it to develop fully — a fine choice as a lawn specimen or for parkland-style planting.

British grown. Each plant is hand-selected before dispatch.
