Miscanthus sinensis 'Red Chief' is a striking ornamental grass, prized for its tall, arching clumps of slender green leaves and dramatic flower plumes. In late summer, feathery panicles open a rich deep red, gradually fading to silvery tones through autumn and persisting on the plant well into winter. As the seasons turn, the foliage takes on warm golden and bronze hues, adding further seasonal colour and interest.
